How Do You Know if There Is Vent Hole in Your Kicken

1. Hello,

   I've recently moved to this house, and the hood vents inside. Information technology has some useless filter inside that don't do anything!

   I'k thinking of getting someone to drill a hole for the hood to vent outside.

   The garage was converted to kitchen recently. Right higher up the hood there is the roof and tiles. I don't know if this information helps in whatsoever way.

   My question is, do you retrieve this is a skilful thought? Where tin I find someone in Croydon to exercise it for me? Is at that place whatsoever regulations or should the work be reported somewhere? Lamentable I take no clue! Regarding the toll, how much should I exist prepared to pay?

   Bank check that he is using a diamond cadre drill. The hole could accept an hour to drill, then getting the ducting in and tidying upward - some other hour or two. With ownership materials, half a day plus wear on the core drill - thay can exist £100 each. Besides check if it includes VAT and the ducting.

    A core drill makes a squeamish clean cuircular hole rather than run up drilling which can be messy and untidy ...

    Can you remove the stainless chimney cover and testify what is in that location as it volition be hiding the motor and you need to ensure there is enough space to get a 90 degree plumbing fixtures in obove it. Also check the hodd instructions - 100/125/150mm duct recommended?

14. He replied that he uses diamond drill flake and he isn't VAT registered… .. . He is also recently registered on Mybuilder and has no feedback. Are these crimson flags in your opinion?

    It becomes clear now why the extractor is in recirculating style. Yous have a boxed in Rsj above, so the merely possible root is but to the side. IMO, it's non really doable. I'thou guessing the guy y'all lined up didn't come out to run across the task.

16. You demand to find a good road out. if you go through the ceiling, where will information technology terminate up? There is not really enough room to the side unless the plasterboard is moved - although from what you say it is into the neighbours garage - so non viable.

    I was thinking the pigsty would be made to the ceiling and vented out through the kitchen roof. I judge it makes sense that they possibly considered adding the vent when fitting the kitchen, but information technology wasn't feasible.

    Failing to practise this, is there any other solution? The carbon filters within the hood well-nigh do naught

20. How erstwhile are the carbon filters? They're pretty adept as a dominion - probably 1 in 20 kitchens I do can't be vented to the outside, and so I use them several times a year. They do need changing every six months or so …
